Ludhiana, October 22, 2013: Reacting to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's statement on seeking US intervention in resolving the Kashmir issue, Shahi Imam of Punjab Maulana Habib-ur-Rahman Sani Ludhianvi has termed it as a heinous conspiracy.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he alleged Nawaz Sharif was an agent of US and the former had given the statement on a directive from the latter. He said US could never be made mediator between India and Pakistan for resolving the Kashmir issue.
He said Nawaz Sharif was failing in properly running his government in Pakistan, therefore, he wanted to divert attention of people of Pakistan by making unnecessary statements. He recalled that at the time of the Kargil conflict Nawaz Sharif was the prime minister of Pakistan.
He said US had become bankrupt, therefore, it was trying to found out new markets. He said there was a need that they should remain vigilant.
Nawaz Sharif, during his three-day official visit to Washington, on Saturday had said that the Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan could be resolved through US intervention. www.cityairnews.com
