Ludhiana, August 16, 2013: Sewa- Sehyog organised a musical evening followed by a March, on 14th August the eve of Independence Day at Punjabi Bhawan. It was indeed   an inspirational experience for all present.

The solemn evening began observing one minute silence for those who recently lost their lives in natural calamities. It was followed by patriotic songs by members of NGO Dhvani.

Chief Guest Dr BS Shah conveyed a meaningful message that instead of complaining of so many social evils and corrupt practices each one of us should work hard and do his bit relentlessly towards improving the system. Thereafter he led the gathering in taking a solemn oath followed by National anthem.

As the National Anthem concluded, carrying the tricolour in their hands, the congregation lead by Mayor the first citizen of Ludhiana, marched to Bhai Bala Chowk to pay respect to the martyr Kartar Singh Sarabha whose statue adorns this places.  Members of Sewa Sehyog paid floral homage to the martyrs and vowed to carry forward the dreams that these great man had given his life for.

Students of Govt. School, Sunet presented a short inspiring “Nukkar Natak” on the lives of martyrs who sacrificed their lives fighting for the independence of this great nation.
