Seventh Day of Faculty Development Programme at GNDU College

Jalandhar, December 24, 2014: Motivational and highly inspirational journey of Faculty Development Programme at G.N.D.U.College, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar, continued at its seventh day of learning on 24th Dec, 2014. With each passing day the zeal among the members is amplifying.

The first session of the day, headed by Mr. Lakhbir Singh (D.A.V. College, Jalandhar) was on ‘Holistic Personality and Environment’, which really knocked on the minds of the faculty present. He said ‘Zindagi zindadili ka naam hai’ and further added, “To be successful we need to be integrated”. He explained various aspects of Holistic Development. According to him, Entrepreneur is the one, who works for the betterment of the society. Dr. J.K. Gulati (Associate Professor, G.N.D.U. College, Jalandhar) engaged in the second session on the concept of ‘Human Resource Aspects in Small Business’. He put forward the importance of HRM and also gave various tips for effective management. He said, “FDP is a platform to sensitize people to be trendsetters” as it is the age of visionaries and innovators, who have the urge to take society to new heights. The next session was taken by Dr. V.K. Tiwari (Retired Principal, DAV College), who elaborated on various communication and negotiation skills. He said that for being a great entrepreneur, one has to be a good communicator. The last session of the day was delivered by Mr. Mayank Sawhney (KPMG, Dubai), who presented a lecture on ‘Venture Capital and Private Equity Funding’. Dr. Ashish Arora (coordinator FDP) placed a heartfelt vote of thanks to the worthy guests and also the members for their continuous participation.
