Seven employees of UHSR, including PGIMS Director Dr. S.K. Singhal, given a warm farewell upon retirement
A farewell ceremony was held on Thursday at the Vice-Chancellor's office of Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences for seven employees retiring from service, including PGIMS Director Dr. S.K. Singhal. During the event, the retiring staff members were presented with mementos and cheques.

Rohtak, July 30, 2026: A farewell ceremony was held on Thursday at the Vice-Chancellor's office of Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences for seven employees retiring from service, including PGIMS Director Dr. S.K. Singhal. During the event, the retiring staff members were presented with mementos and cheques. Those retiring included Dr. S.K. Singhal (Senior Professor, Department of Anaesthesia), Satish Kumar (Xerox Operator), Ramphal (OTT), Harish Kumar (Senior Technician), Surajmal (Senior Technician), Ramniwas Saini (Receptionist), and Bhagwanti Devi (Bearer).
Vice-Chancellor Dr. H.K. Aggarwal stated that all the retiring colleagues had made significant contributions to the institute's progress. He remarked that retirement is not the end of life but the beginning of a new journey.
Registrar Dr. Roop Singh noted that all the employees had discharged their duties with utmost honesty and dedication. Dean (Academic Affairs) Dr. M.G. Vashisht and Dean Dr. Ashok Chauhan also commended the retiring employees for their service.
Sharing his experiences, Dr. S.K. Singhal described PGIMS as his home. He said that the experience of serving patients and working with the team would always remain with him. Staff members at the Department of Anaesthesia also gave Dr. S.K. Singhal an emotional farewell, honoring him with a turban and presenting him with floral garlands and mementos.
