Seva Sankalp Abhiyan: Senior BJP Leader Sanjay Tandon Visits Multiple  Blood Donation Camps

Chandigarh, September 20, 2026: Senior BJP leader Sanjay Tandon on Sunday visited a series of blood donation camps organised across Chandigarh as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan ’ being held to mark the birth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  Tandon interacted with blood donors, doctors, volunteers and party workers at the various camps and appreciated their contribution to the service initiatives.  

On the occasion, Tandon said, “Blood donation is a simple act of kindness that can become a lifeline for someone in need. A single unit of blood can give a patient hope, strength and, most importantly, a precious chance at life.”  

Tandon said that the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ started on September 17 - the birth anniversary of PM Modi and is being observed for a full month - till October 17, through various public-service initiatives.  "I feel that such programmes strengthen the bond between society and those committed to serving the people, " he said.

Tandon visited the blood donation camp held at Community Centre, Sector 19 organised by the Rani Lakshmibai District of BJP Chandigarh(54 units of blood were collected); the camp organised by Shaheed Bhagat Singh District at Community Centre, Dhanas(110  units of blood were collected)  ; the camp organised by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar District at Community Centre, Sector 38( 115 units of blood were collected); the camp by Bharat Ratna Atal District at Community Centre, Sector 50(68  units of blood were collected);  the camp held at Sanatan Dharam Mandir, Sector 42-B  which was organised by Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendra, Chandigarh(10  units of blood were collected); and the one organised by Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee District at Rajasthan Bhawan, Sector 33( 150  units of blood were collected).

Tandon said that voluntary blood donation was among the most meaningful forms of public service as a single donation could help save lives in times of medical emergency.

Tandon commended the BJP workers, volunteers and donors who  came forward for this important cause. He said that the spirit of service witnessed across Chandigarh reflected the importance of collective efforts towards public welfare. Tandon said that initiatives such as blood donation and health check-up camps, provide meaningful support to those in need. He expressed his gratitude to all organisers, doctors, volunteers, workers and blood donors for marking the Prime Minister’s birthday with a commitment to service and social welfare.
