Session on MSE-SPICE Scheme & Green Transition of MSMEs held

Ludhiana, May 16, 2026: A workshop on “MSE-SPICE Scheme & Other Schemes for Green Transition of MSMEs” was organized by (FICCI) Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry in association with FICO (Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization) and the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises at a local hotel. More the 150 Entrepreneurs attended the session.
The workshop focused on creating awareness regarding the MSE-SPICE Scheme and other schemes available for green transition of MSMEs. Detailed presentations were made on the objectives, benefits, eligibility, and application process of the scheme. Discussions were also held on sustainability practices, clean technologies, energy efficiency, and resource optimization models for MSME clusters and individual units.
Senior officials including Vinamra Mishra, Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Pankaj Jha, Joint Director (IEDS), Ministry of MSME, along with representatives from SIDBI, IIFCL Projects Ltd., industry associations, and MSMEs participated in the workshop.
While addressing the participants, Kular appreciated the initiative taken by the Ministry of MSME, FICCI, and SIDBI to promote green and sustainable practices among MSMEs. He stated that the future competitiveness of MSMEs will largely depend upon the adoption of sustainable technologies, energy efficiency, waste reduction, and resource optimization, and solar is a major contributor to that. He emphasized that awareness about such schemes is very important so that MSMEs can take maximum benefit from the support provided by the Government.
FICO appreciated the efforts of the Government of India towards promoting environmentally responsible and globally competitive MSMEs and assured full support in spreading awareness among industry members regarding such initiatives.
