Senior Secondary Residential School For Meritorious Students Gets Computers, Laptops

Ludhiana, December 6, 2015: The Chief Minister’s promise of providing computers and laptops to students of Senior Secondary Residential School for Meritorious Students, Ludhiana, has been fulfilled as the school authorities have received 46 computers, 21 laptops, and other required material which would benefit the students in a big way. During the Chief Minister’s recent visit to the school, the students had raised this issue in front of him.
            The Punjab government had opened such schools for students scoring more than 80 percent marks in class tenth. The main aim of these schools is training the students for competitive exams for top colleges and universities. The computers and laptops would help the students in getting computer savvy. The work on making the entire campus Wi-Fi is also underway.
            School Principal Mr Anoop Passi informed that out of 46 computer sets, 30 would be installed in the computer lab, 5 in boys hostel, 5 in girls hostel, one in library, 2 in office, one in principal office and two in staff room. Besides this, 21 laptops, 18 projectors, three interactive projectors, one printing machine and six printers have been received.
            Mr Passi informed that a proposal regarding making the school campus Wi-Fi has been sent to the Project Director and it is expected that this proposal would be cleared soon.
