Seminar on Quality Assessment Under Revised Accreditation Framework NAAC at GHSC-10

Chandigarh, September 17, 2022: Government Home Science College organized a seminar on Quality Assessment under Revised Accreditation Framework, NAAC for the faculty members. Dr. Dalip Kumar, Registrar Amity University, Mohali and Ex Additional State Project Director RUSA, was the resource person.  He inaugurated the newly renovated Committee Room of the college and gave his valuable insights regarding the new framework of NAAC accreditation for the colleges. He highlighted that India is having the third largest Higher Education Sector in the world. In spite of this,  percentage of HEI"s granted A grade by NAAC constitutes only 12.6% between July 2017- September 2022. He emphasized on various dynamics of new accreditation framework.

He talked on the importance of IIQA submission by elaborating its 5 basic elements and various attachments to be uploaded by the institutes with it. He discussed all the important validation data as per the 7 criterions of NAAC and laid stress upon handing and filling of data objectively. He also added the new weightage assigned to the qualitative and quantitative key matrices. He further went on to describing the complete cycle of SSR submission along with the document to be submitted for each criteria.

The workshop was attended by all the faculty members. It was an interactive seminar and various queries were out up by the staff. Dr. Dalip offered practical and viable solutions to many of the problems raised.

Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal, expressed her gratitude to the resource person for the fruitful seminar and urged the faculty to follow the various do's and don'ts suggested by the resource person.
