Students attending seminar on Epilepsy in Lyallpur Khalsa College at Jalandhar on Tuesday.
Jalandhar, December 16, 2014: On the occasion of World Disability Day, a seminar on Epilepsy was organised today in Lyallpur Khalsa College by the Physiotherapy Department of the college.
Speaking on the occasion, the resource person Dr Sandeep Goel from Nasa Neurocare and Trauma centre informed the students on epilepsy, its types and causes, its management and course of treatment and urged the people to stop considering it a social stigma. Welcoming the resource person the college Principal Dr. GS Samra said that the society needed to change its attitude towards the disabled , and consider them as differently abled people. He also informed the present that his college had made special provisions for differently abled students and faculty.
A quiz and a nukkad natak were also presented on the same theme Vote of thanks on the occasion was made by Dr. Raju Sharma head of the Physiotherapy Department.
