Secretary Regional Transport Authority Ludhiana celebrates 31st road safety week

Ludhiana: The Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Ludhiana is celebrating the 31st Road Safety Week in the city till January 17, 2020. This week is being celebrated under the supervision of Mr Damanjeet Singh Mann, Secretary, Regional Transport Authority Ludhiana.

Today, Mr Kesarpal Singh from the office of Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Ludhiana, challaned the auto rickshaws, trucks, trolleys, buses and overload vehicles. Reflector tapes were also pasted on the vehicles. Some vehicles meant for carrying only load were caught ferrying passengers and they were also challaned and their owners were warned against it.

They also carried out checking of pollution check centres at M/S Dada Motors, GT Road, Khanna and Dhanjal Motors, GT Road, opposite Grain Market, Khanna and instructions were issued to update the pollution check machines. Besides, challans of vehicles with incomplete papers and overload were also carried out on Khanna-Samrala route.
