Jalandhar, April 16, 2022: A movie 'The Guide' was shown to the final year students by the English Literary Society. The movie starred spectacular artists like Waheeda Rehman and Dev Anand and proved into a blockbuster hit with their stellar performances.
The movie is based on the novel by R.K. Narayan with the same name. The novel is part of the syllabi of the final year students. It was an indeed a constructive activity which was part of the learning keeping in mind the fact that picturized descriptions are impactful and emotionally stirring. Moreover, such descriptions bring about intricacies and subtlety to the surface in plot and characterization. The students savoured the experience to the dregs.
The members of the Managing Committee and the worthy Principal of the college Dr.Pooja Prashar lauded the efforts of the Head, Department of English, Ujla Dada Joshi for organizing such fruitful activity as part of learning. The organising Committee comprised Aabroo Sharma, Gurjit Kaur and Dr. Indu Tyagi.
