Chandigarh, November 29, 2015: The Education Department, Punjab, has devised a novel plan to inculcate scientific knowledge amongst the student community.
Disclosing this, a spokesman of the department said that in accordance with the plan, the 10,200 students of 6th-8th Standard of all the schools in the state would embark on excursion-cum-knowledge trip to the Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala. He said that the main purpose of these visits is to encourage scientific temper in the students and understand things from scientific point of view.
The spokesman also divulged that the dates from 1st to 11th December have been fixed for these visits. On 1st December students from Sri Amritsar Sahib and Barnala, on 2ndDecember students from Bathinda and Faridkot, On 3rd December Students from Fatehgarh Sahib, Ferozepur, Fazilka, On 4th December students from Gurdaspur and Hoshiarpur, On 5th December students from Jalandhar, On 7th December students from Kapurthala and Ludhiana, On 8th December students from Mansa and Moga, Sri Muktsar Sahib, On 9th December students from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and Pathankot, On 10th December students from Patiala and Roopnagar and On 11th December students from Sangrur, Mohali and Tarntaran would visit the Pushpa Gujral Science City.
