Scholarships worth Rs One Lakh for Lyallpur Khalsa College Students

Jalandhar, March 25, 2026: Scholarships worth rupees 1,00,000 were awarded to the needy and deserving students of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar by Jaswant Singh Rai Memorial Public Charitable Trust. 
Speaking on the occasion, the College President Governing Council, Sardarni Balbir Kaur lauded the Trust for extending this financial support to students. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu said that the Trust had been providing financial help to the students of the college for a number of years. He also reiterated the commitment of the college to affordable and quality education, adding that all possible efforts would be made to support meritorious and deserving students. This scholarship was regularly given by Dr. K.S. Rai son of Jaswant Singh Rai but this year his son Amarjit Singh Rai specially arrived at the college from America after the demise of Jaswant Singh Rai to continue this legacy.  The recipients of this scholarship were Bhumika, Neha, Poonamjit Kaur, Parveen, Simran Kakkar, Nidhi Sharma, Anurag, Arshpreet Kaur, Harmanpreet Kaur and Charanpreet Bhardwaj.
