Scholarship for player students in Lyallpur Khalsa College

Jalandhar: Three players students of Lyallpur Khalsa College were awarded appreciation scholarship today.  This information was given by the College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra who said that Avinash Giri, Ajay Kumar and Akashdeep were awarded scholarships of rupees 15000 each for winning gold medals in the senior National Pankick Championship. He informed that participating in Master in Tending Event Male category at Srinagar,  J&K these players won gold medals in 80/85, 70/75, and 90/95 Kilograms categories respectively. Dr. Samra congratulated the players on their achievements and wished them luck. Speaking on the occasion, he also informed that the college had won university sports championship for record 24 times and also that the institution was lcommitted to promotion of sports in the region. The occasion was witnessed by the presence of Dr. S.S. Bains,  Dean Sports of the college along with the faculty and other staff of the sports department.
