Schedule for UCPMA elections announced; elections on September 14

Ludhiana, August 17, 2013: A meeting of Election Committee of United Cycle and Parts Manufacturers Association (UCPMA), Ludhiana was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Kamalinder Kumar Singla, Presiding Officer.
Rajan Gupta, Ravi Mahajan and the association president Gurmeet Singh Kular were also present. They discussed about the arrangements to be made for the election of UCPMA officer-bearers to be held on September 14.
Members expressed their desire to bring reform in the election process so as to ensure free and fair election in a healthy atmosphere.
The schedule for the election was also announced.
In a press release here this evening, the UCPMA general secretary Manjinder Singh Sachdeva
said the Managing Committee of the association, in its meeting held on August 14, has decided to hold election of the office-bearers of the UCPMA for the next term for two years (2013-2015) on September 14.
Sachdeva informed that polling strictly will be allowed only with biometric cards. Those members who do not have these cards, they have been requested to get them prepared upto August 31 and to collect before or upto September 6, 2013. Members are requested to collect the cards personally, he said.
