Schedule for preparation of electoral rolls for municipal elections announced

Ludhiana:     Additional District Electoral Officer cum Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Ludhiana Mr Sandeep Kumar has informed that as per the directions of Punjab State Election Commission, the schedule for preparation of electoral rolls for 6 Nagar Councils and by-election of one ward of a Nagar Panchayat of district Ludhiana has been announced.

The elections would be held in Nagar Councils of Jagraon, Raikot, Doraha, Payal, Khanna and Samrala while the by-election would be held for the ward no 8 of Mullanpur Dakha.

Mr Sandeep Kumar informed that as per program announced preparation of Electoral Rolls made up to December 9, 2020 and Draft Publication of electoral rolls will be made on December 10, 2020. He further said that last date for filing claims and objections is December 16, 2020 and all objections & claims will be disposed by December 23, 2020. The date of final publication of electoral rolls is January 05, 2021.
