SBI’s CSR Boost to MDU: E-Cart Gifted for Green Campus
The State Bank of India (SBI) has gifted an e-cart to Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, supporting the university’s efforts towards an eco-friendly campus. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Poonia formally dedicated the e-cart to the university community on Tuesday in the presence of SBI General Manager Binod Kumar Sinha.
Rohtak, August 18, 2026: The State Bank of India (SBI) has gifted an e-cart to Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, supporting the university’s efforts towards an eco-friendly campus. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Poonia formally dedicated the e-cart to the university community on Tuesday in the presence of SBI General Manager Binod Kumar Sinha.
Prof. Poonia said the e-cart would contribute to making the university campus more environmentally friendly. He added that MDU would continue to seek CSR support from reputed companies, corporates and industry partners to promote developmental activities on campus.
SBI General Manager Binod Kumar Sinha said the bank was pleased to associate with a reputed institution like MDU through a CSR initiative and assured continued support to the university in the future.
Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal expressed gratitude to SBI for the initiative, while Finance Officer Mukesh Bhatt briefed the gathering about the CSR project. Prof. Surender Singh Yadav conducted the programme.
Dean Academic Affairs Prof. A.S. Mann, DSW Prof. Sapna Garg, Proctor Prof. Randeep Rana, Financial Advisor N.R. Sharma, SBI Deputy General Manager Arijit Ghosh Roy, Regional Manager Robin Goyal and SBI MDU Branch Manager Abhishek Sharma, besides university officials, employees and students, were present on the occasion.
