SBI General Insurance announces 6th Crop Insurance Week awareness campaign for upcoming Rabi 2023-24 season

Mumbai, December 19, 2023: SBI General, a leading General Insurance Company in India, has launched 6th “Crop Insurance Week” awareness campaign for the upcoming Rabi season of 2023-24. The week-long celebration is designed to raise awareness about the significance of crop insurance and empower farmers to safeguard their agricultural investments, by educating them about the PMFBY scheme features.

 
As a part of this initiative, the Company will conduct various activities across the states of Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Assam & Karnataka which have been allotted to them under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY).  An extensive array of farmer awareness activities is planned to ensure broad understanding and participation in the PMFBY scheme. This includes various activities, Van Campaign for direct dissemination of PMFBY information in rural areas, Fasal Bima Pathshala (Farmers workshop), Bike rallies, Outdoor advertisement, Bus branding activities, educational workshops in school and colleges, and exclusive workshops for women farmers, amongst others.
 

To further boost awareness amongst farmers, SBI General will be distributing all relevant publicity materials in regional language. The campaign will also cover creative, videos, farmers testimonials, etc.
 

For the Rabi season, the general insurer will provide coverage for various crops such as Paddy, Wheat, Bengal Gram, Groundnut, Lantil, Maize, Mustard, Sorghum etc.
