‘Satyaa Sachee’ Actor Akash Khandelwal Opens Up About How His Love for Acting Began
Says, “I still remember the first time I saw Shah Rukh Khan on screen…”
Some stories don’t begin with lights, cameras, or a big stage; they begin in the living room of a little child who doesn’t even know he’s already becoming an actor. That’s exactly how it was for Akash Khandelwal, who plays Shaurya in Sun Neo’s show Satyaa Sachee opens up about how his interest in acting grew naturally from childhood moments that slowly became his life’s passion.
While sharing about his journey towards acting, he shares, “I have been a fan of acting since the time I didn’t even know what acting really was. I still remember the first time I saw Shah Rukh Khan on screen, jumping out of a helicopter and running toward the big mansion in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. I was only three or four years old, but that scene stayed in my mind, and I started copying him. I used to do mirror exercises before school, dance freely in my room, learn something new every day, and entertain everyone around me. As I grew older, I realised that everything I had been doing since childhood was actually a part of acting.”
He further said, “That’s why even today, when someone asks me about my experience, I smile. Because honestly, my acting journey began in my childhood. I can proudly say I’ve been ‘acting’ for more than twenty years. My love for this craft didn’t start on a stage or in front of a camera; it started at home, in those small everyday moments. Emotions are what make us human, and acting gives me the chance to feel and express all kinds of emotions and that’s what attracts me the most towards this art.”
Satyaa Sachee tells the story of two inseparable sisters from a small village Satyaa, who is bold and fearless, and Sachee, who is gentle, kind, and selfless. Their relationship goes far deeper than ordinary sisterhood. It’s not just duty or responsibility; it’s a promise of love, loyalty, and lifelong togetherness. Their bond is effortless, unshakeable, and filled with emotion. No matter what storms they face, Satyaa and Sachee always rise together, protecting each other, supporting each other, and becoming each other’s biggest strength.
