A group of 25 Sarpanchs and Panchs from Ramban District of Jammu & Kashmir on three day visit to the Holy city Amritsar from October 20-23. 

Jalandhar, October 23, 2013: A group of 25 Sarpanchs and Panchs from Ramban District of Jammu & Kashmir were on three day visit to the Holy city Amritsar from October 20-23.   
Group of Sarpanchs and Panchs today visited Panther Division where they met Major general RS Yadav, General Officer commanding, Panther Division.   
The general officer interacted with all Sarpanchs and Panchs hailing from Jammu & Kashmir as part of Operation Sadbhavana.
Over the past three days, the team of ‘Sair-e-Watan’ visited various villages of Amritsar including Sultan Wind and Nashera Panuya where they interacted and exchanged views, ideas and thoughts with their counterparts which provided them an opportunity to share experience which will enable them to implement various measures, projects and innovations, so as to bring about development, welfare and a progressive environment in their villages.   The Sarpanchs and Panchs also visited various places of interest such as Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and Wagha Border.
The visitors also got an opportunity to interact with the civil administration to gain exposure, so as to undertake measures for transforming their administration into an absolute self-reliant society.   The Sarpanchs and Panchs expressed their gratitude and were thankful to the people of Amritsar for their hospitality and support. www.cityairnews.com
