The district administration along with local police on Saturday organized Sarkar Tuhade Dwar camp in Meat market to deliver the services of Punjab Government's public welfare schemes to the people at their doorsteps.
Khanna, February 14, 2026: The district administration along with local police on Saturday organized Sarkar Tuhade Dwar camp in Meat market to deliver the services of Punjab Government's public welfare schemes to the people at their doorsteps.
In the camp, the health department issued health insurance cards worth Rs 10 lakh under Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna. Doctors conducted check-ups and provided medical facilities to the people. Various pensions, senior citizen cards, Scheduled Caste certificates, Aadhaar updates, and other related benefits from government welfare schemes were also delivered to the residents of this area. A cleanliness campaign was also launched with dustbins provided door-to-door. The pond in the locality will be cleaned in the coming days and converted into a park.
SDM Swati Tiwana stated that the goal is to deliver government facilities directly to people' s doorsteps. She added that the education department is carrying out door-to-door surveys to determine how many children in the area are enrolled in schools and out-of-school. She appealed to the people of Meat Market, to support the administration in the noble cause.
