Sardar@150 Padyatra -Unity March Organised in Ludhiana 

MYBharat Ludhiana, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with District Administration, Ludhiana organised the Sardar@150 Padyatra today at Rose Garden, Ludhiana, to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India and architect of national unity.

Ludhiana, November 12, 2025: MYBharat Ludhiana, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with District Administration, Ludhiana organised the Sardar@150 Padyatra today at Rose Garden, Ludhiana, to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India and architect of national unity.

The event was inaugurated by Harpreet Kaur, representing the District Administration. The ceremony began with the soulful rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’, followed by lamp lighting and garlanding of Sardar Patel’s portrait. The inaugural session also featured vibrant cultural performances by youth groups and an impactful Nukkad Natak, spreading the message of unity, integrity, and national pride.

Following the inauguration, a padyatra was flagged off from Rose Garden, covering key public stretches and spreading the message of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”

More than 500 youth volunteers, from various educational institutions of Ludhiana participated with great enthusiasm, carrying banners, placards, and slogans celebrating the ideals of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Speaking on the occasion, Rashmeet Kaur, Deputy Director, MY Bharat, Ludhiana, said,

“Sardar Patel’s life and leadership continue to inspire generations. Through this padyatra, we aim to remind our youth of the values of unity, discipline, and nation-building that he stood for. The overwhelming participation of young people today truly reflects the spirit of Ekta that Sardar Patel envisioned for India.”

The event concluded with the National Anthem, as participants pledged to uphold the values of unity and nation-building espoused by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
