Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Trophy: YPS and Learning Paths School Teams Shine

Chandigarh, November 7, 2025: The fourth day of the Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Trophy witnessed a spectacular display of energy, agility, and excellent teamwork from the players. Organized by Vivek High School, Mohali, the tournament saw thrilling matches across various age groups. Teams from Learning Paths School, Mohali, and YPS, Mohali, captivated the audience with their outstanding performances, while teams like St. Kabir, Saupin's, and GNPS also made the matches memorable with their strong play.

The results of the matches played on the fourth day are as follows:

Girls Under-10 Category:

Learning Paths School (LPS), Mohali defeated Sacred Heart, Chandigarh 15-1. Chahat of the winning team gave a stellar performance, scoring all 15 points, while Renuka scored 1 point for Sacred Heart.

Boys Under-10 Category:

Saupin's School, Chandigarh defeated Vivek High School, Chandigarh 10-3. Jeevant of Saupin's , scored 4 points and Shaurya scored 3 points for Vivek High.

Girls Under-12 Category:

Learning Paths School (LPS), Mohali defeated Manav Rachna School, Mohali 12-6. Ambreen of LPS scored 8 points, while Adiva scored 4 points for Manav Rachna.

Boys Under-12 Category:

Vivek High School, Mohali defeated DPS, Chandigarh by a large margin of 25-8. Vedant of Vivek High scored 14 points and Arjan of DPS added 4 points to his team's tally.

Boys Under-14 Category:

YPS, Mohali defeated Saupin's School, Chandigarh in a thrilling match 30-27. Digvijay scored 14 points for the winning team and Kanav scored 12 points for Saupin's School. In the same category, St. Kabir School, Chandigarh defeated Vivek High School, Mohali 26-16. Vardhan scored 13 points for St. Kabir and Maulik scored 8 points for Vivek High. In another match, KV High Ground School, Chandigarh narrowly defeated Manav Rachna School, Mohali 48-47. Ansh scored 16 points for KV, while Dev from Manav Rachna scored 21 points, but couldn't lead his team to victory.

Girls Under-17 Category:

GNPS, Chandigarh defeated St. Joseph, Chandigarh in a one-sided match 44-4. Simran from GNPS scored 11 points and Manasvi from St. Joseph scored 1 point.

Boys Under-17 Category:

YPS, Mohali defeated St. Kabir School, Chandigarh 34-20. Simranjot from YPS scored 18 points, while Mahinder from St. Kabir scored 8 points.
