Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Trophy – Day 7: Semifinal Matches Held
Vivek High School, Mohali teams enter the finals in both Boys Under-12 and Under-17 categories
Chandigarh, November 11, 2025: The seventh day of the Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Trophy, being held at Sports Complex, Sector 42, witnessed intense semifinal matches filled with energy, teamwork, and remarkable sporting skills. Spectators enjoyed thrilling encounters as every team fought hard for victory.
The results of semi final matches played were:
In Boys Under-14, St. Kabir School, Chandigarh defeated YPS, Mohali 43–28. Aditya scored 15 points for the winning team, while Gurmat scored 17 for the runners-up. In the Girls Under-14 category, Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh beat GNPS, Chandigarh 46–16. Callista scored 11 points; Prabhjot scored 8 for the opposing team.
In the Girls Under-17 segment, GNPS, Chandigarh defeated Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh 47–34. Sukhman scored 14 points; Samya scored 18 for the other side. In another encounter in the Girls Under-17 category, KV High Grounds, Chandigarh beat Learning Paths School, Mohali 24–14. Sonika scored 15 points; Harnit scored 9 for the runners-up.
In Boys Under-12, Vivek High School, Mohali beat Learning Paths School, Mohali 19–11. Sahajpreet scored 15 points, while Tane scored 4 for the opponents. In another match in the same category, YPS, Mohali defeated Vivek High School, Chandigarh 18–4. Samarth scored 13 points for the winners; Kanan scored 2 for the other team.
In a Boys Under-17 match Vivek High School, Chandigarh beat Saupins School, Chandigarh 32–27. Aditya scored 10 points; Samarth scored 13 for the other team. In another match in the same age category Vivek High School, Mohali defeated YPS, Mohali 46–42. Aditya scored 10 points and Japjeet 11 for the winners; Simarjot scored 18 for the opponents.
In the Girls Under-14 segment, Learning Paths School, Mohali defeated Vivek High School, Mohali 25–13. Khushnoor scored 14 points; Gurrmat scored 6 for the other team.
