Saras Mela to be held at PAU from March 15-26: DC

Ludhiana: Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma have informed that it is a matter of great pride for the city that hundreds of artisans and artists from 22 states of the country will participate in the SARAS (sales of articles of rural artisans society) mela to be held at the grounds of Punjab Agricultural University, here, from March 15-26, 2021.
During his weekly Facebook live interaction with the residents on the page of District Public Relations Office Ludhiana, Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma said that the District Administration has already started preparations for the same and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mr Sandeep Kumar would be the overall incharge of this 12-day event.
While interacting with the residents, the Deputy Commissioner stated that the second phase of Covid 19 vaccination have been started in the district. He said that in the first phase, a total of 18251 healthcare workers and 5869 front line workers have got themselves vaccinated. He said that as the second phase of vaccination is going on successfully, 675 healthcare workers have been administered the second dose of vaccination in the district till date.
He also urged the residents to ensure that they follow all Covid 19 related guidelines and SOPs in the interest of residents.
