Saras Mela-2025 to give platform to local young and emerging artists of Ludhiana
The district administration is set to celebrate the city’s emerging stars and rich cultural heritage at the Saras Mela 2025, scheduled from October 4 to 13 at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). This vibrant festival aims to provide a prestigious platform for Ludhiana’s young and budding artists, fostering talent.

Ludhiana, Sep 23, 2025: The district administration is set to celebrate the city’s emerging stars and rich cultural heritage at the Saras Mela 2025, scheduled from October 4 to 13 at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). This vibrant festival aims to provide a prestigious platform for Ludhiana’s young and budding artists, fostering talent.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) and Nodal Mela Officer Amarjit Bains, who presided over a meeting of the cultural committee, stated that it has crafted an inspiring vision to empower local artists. The Mela will offer a stage for budding musicians, singers, and performers to showcase their creativity, amplifying their talent to captivate audiences. Further, local Self Help Groups will also display an array of unique products, from handmade crafts to innovative creations, connecting artisans directly with visitors.
The students from Ludhiana’s schools and colleges will also bring to life iconic art forms such as Giddha, Bhangra, and soulful folk songs, celebrating the region’s cultural legacy. Adding to the grandeur, approximately 1,000 artisans from across India will present their craftsmanship at 500 stalls, offering a stunning variety of rare handicrafts, traditional artworks, and handcrafted treasures.
Besides, the Mela will feature an amazing range of cultural performances, including music, dance, and art forms presented by artists from the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC). The food enthusiasts will be delighted with a diverse food spread featuring regional and international cuisines from Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, street food, south Indian delicacies, and even Chinese cuisine, ensuring a food journey for all. Every evening, the Mela will host Star Nights, featuring performances by renowned singers, creating unforgettable experiences for visitors.
