Jalandhar, July 23, 2026: Sanskriti KMV School marked yet another milestone in promoting sports by hosting the prestigious Zone No. 1 Under-19 Girls' Basketball Tournament. The event was organised under the guidance of Shashi Kumar Sharma, President, Zonal Tournament Committee (Zone No. 1), and Manjeet Singh, Secretary.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by Rachna Monga, Principal of Sanskriti KMV School and Chairperson of the Organising Committee. Welcoming the participating teams, she extended her best wishes to all the players.
Addressing the gathering, Rachna Monga emphasized that sports are an integral part of education and play a vital role in the holistic development of children. She encouraged students to actively participate in games alongside academics, stating that
sports help develop leadership qualities, self-confidence, and physical fitness while preparing them to face life's challenges with determination.
The opening day's matches witnessed enthusiastic participation from APJ School, Rama Mandi; Army Public School; Ivy World School; Delhi Public School; and the host institution, Sanskriti KMV School, in the Under-19 Girls' category.
