Sanskrit Department observed plantation drive

Chandigarh: The department of Sanskrit, Panjab University, organized a plantation drive today in front of Shaheed Udham Singh hall building. Chairperson of the Department, Prof. Virendra Kumar Alankar led the drive. He said that keeping in view the pandemic situation, the drive was done with bare minimum participants who followed the guidelines regarding social distancing and sanitization. Prof. Alankar also added that the current situation saw the freedom of the natural world, due to the restricted movement of humans, which showed without doubt that humans were interfering with it, and harming themselves, due to which the practical as well as symbolic relevance of such drives has increased manifold.
