Ludhiana, April 23, 2022: On the successful completion of 10 years, Sankara Eye Hospital conducted a press conference at Mata Tripta Ji Hall, Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana.

Officiating Principal Dr. Rajeshwar Pal Kaur and Ranjodh Singh, Patron Sankara Eye Hospital and President, Ramgarhia Educational Council, extended a warm welcome to Bharath Bala, President (Operations),Sankara Eye Hospitals, Coimbatore, Dr. Manoj Gupta (Chief Medical Officer), and Dr. Ravinder Pal Singh ( Unit Head, Sankara Eye Hospital) A unit of the hospital, Sankara Eye Vision is also running successfully in Gurudwara Ramgarhia and another unit has also started in Samrala. In the past 10 years 60,000 operations has been performed and in the next year it is proposed to perform 11,000 operations so that maximum people could take benefits of the facilities. 

Ranjodh Singh talked about the success stories and experiences of the decade. He said that it is a matter of pride for Ludhiana that among 12 Sankara Eye Hospitals situated all over India, a branch of this hospital is located in Ludhiana also. Well-equipped infrastructure, expert doctors and friendly staff have helped this venture garner a vast experience of satisfied patients. He also shared a life-changing experience of a blind couple whose blind son regained his eyesight after an operation. 

Dr. Rajeshwar Pal Kaur appreciated the cause that motivates the founders of this hospital to bring light to the life of those who were deprived of this greatest gift to mankind. She also referred to the free checkup camps and free operation camps that cater to the need of the residents of Ludhiana city as well as to the villages and other backward areas of Punjab. Principals of various Ramgarhia Institutes were also present on the occasion.
