Chandigarh, June 7, 2026: Senior BJP leader and Member of the BJP's National Council, Sanjay Tandon, inaugurated a newly established Jan Aushadhi Kendra at Sector 20 in Chandigarh. The initiative aims to make quality healthcare more accessible and affordable by providing high-quality generic medicines at significantly reduced prices.
Speaking on the occasion, Tandon said, “The Jan Aushadhi initiative reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s commitment to ensuring affordable healthcare for every citizen. This centre will be especially beneficial for senior citizens and economically weaker sections as it will provide quality medicines at prices that are 50 to 90 percent lower than market rates.”
Tandon congratulated Mohit Chawla and his wife on starting the public welfare facility and lauded their contribution towards strengthening healthcare access for local residents.
He expressed confidence that the centre would emerge as a valuable healthcare resource for residents of the area and contribute to the vision of a healthier and stronger India.
