Sanjay Tandon completes electoral roll verification under SIR
Urges citizens to cooperate with the election department teams to make SIR a success

Chandigarh, June 15, 2026: Senior BJP leader Sanjay Tandon, who is a member of BJP's National Council and also a former President of Chandigarh BJP, today participated in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls as officials from the Election Department visited his residence to complete the Enumeration Form process.
During the visit, all required details and supporting documents were provided and duly verified by the officials. The Enumeration Form was completed on the spot and submitted back to the election team after verification. The officials also explained the various aspects and procedures related to the revision exercise in a comprehensive manner.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Tandon said, “A clean, accurate and updated electoral roll is the foundation of a strong and vibrant democracy. Such initiatives ensure that every eligible citizen’s information is correctly recorded, thereby strengthening the electoral process and enhancing public participation in democratic governance.”
Appreciating the efforts of the election officials, Tandon said, “I commend Election Supervisor Ram Sunder Yadav, Booth Level Officer (BLO) Lalit Kumar and office team members Mohit Kumar and Jatin Punia for their professionalism, dedication and courteous conduct throughout the process. Their commitment reflects the Election Commission’s resolve to maintain accuracy, transparency and efficiency in voter registration and verification.”
He further acknowledged the hard work being undertaken by election personnel across the city. “I also appreciate all Election Department officials who are working tirelessly to carry out this important exercise. Their efforts are crucial in ensuring a robust and credible electoral system,” he added.
Tandon urged all eligible citizens to actively cooperate with the Election Department teams and complete the necessary formalities within the stipulated time frame to help make the electoral rolls comprehensive, accurate and up to date.
