&TV’s Ek Mahanayak – Dr B.R. Ambedkar recently presented to its viewers a special episode on Ambedkar Jayanti. Now the show will have an important track with an entry of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad, to be essayed by popular television actor, Sandeep Mehta. The storyline will focus on the historic event wherein the Maharaja of Baroda, Sayajirao Gaekwad will grant a scholarship to Bhimrao Ambedkar through an unbiased and fair competition. Keluskar Guruji introduces Bhimrao to Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad and requests him to grant the scholarship to Bhimrao. However, they realise that there is another candidate in the running for the scholarship. Bhimrao demands justice and fair treatment from the King, who in turn announces a competition to select the right candidate for the scholarship.
 
Actor Sandeep Mehta has been a part of several television shows and films. Talking about his entry into the show, Sandeep says, “It is an important role, and I am excited to be a part of this immensely popular show, appreciated for its outstanding characters and compelling storyline. We have started shooting and the experience has been rewarding. I must say I am privileged to portray such a prolific character. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing how the entire characterization and storyline pans out on-screen.” Elaborating on essaying the historic character of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad in &TV’s Ek Mahanayak - Dr B.R. Ambedkar, Sandeep adds, “While I have essayed several memorable character roles but this one is completely different. It is a historic character of Maharaj Sayajirao Gaekwad, who brought about major social and educational reforms. He strongly believed in serving people fairly and without discrimination. Maharaja Sayajirao was extremely receptive to the original thought of others and put those ideas into action.”
 
About the upcoming track, Bhimrao (Atharva) says, “Dr B. R.
