Delhi Public School, Chandigarh hosted its highly anticipated landmark event, the two day, Samvidhi 8.0 – The Legal Conclave, on 8th and 9th October.
Chandigarh, October 9, 2026: Delhi Public School, Chandigarh hosted its highly anticipated landmark event, the two day, Samvidhi 8.0 – The Legal Conclave, on 8th and 9th October.
Celebrating legal awareness, critical thinking and excellence, the campus was abuzz with an impressive participation of 245 students representing 123 teams from 15 schools from across the Tricity and Ludhiana.
Justice Rajesh Bindal, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India was the Chief Guest on the opening day. Anup Soni, the Pro Vice Chairman of Delhi Public School Chandigarh and Mohali graced the occasion and witnessed the various events.
The event culminated with the Valedictory and Prize Distribution Ceremony on Friday. Balamurugan, senior IAS officer of the 1994 Punjab Cadre, was the Chief Guest. In his inspiring address he urged the students to hold in good stead the traditional moral values and cultural ethos of our country and to take pride in it. Swati Sehgal, Civil Judge graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
School Director, Reema Dewan extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and the participating teams. She said that the Legal Conclave was not just a competition but a training to deliberate, understand issues through dialogue and finding solutions.
The ceremonial lamp lighting initiated the function followed by a group song, ‘A Million Dreams’ serenading the audience.
The two-day incredible journey featured an array of competitions and activities designed to test the participants’ legal acumen, creativity, teamwork and communication skills. The events included The Moot Court, G20 Summit, UNHLAB-AI, Interaction with Intellectuals, The ‘World Without Rules’, Theatrum Vocis (Street Play).
The Overall Trophy was won by Delhi Public School, Chandigarh, but being the host school, it was passed on to Kundan Vidaya Mandir, Ludhiana. A total cash prize of Rs. 1,56,000 was awarded to the winners of various events.
Samvidhi 8.0 thus concluded on a high note, leaving the participants with not only a deeper appreciation of law and justice but also valuable lessons in reasoning, responsibility, leadership and the power of informed expression.
