Sakoon Trust Distributes 100+ Plants at DC Office Complex, Promoting a Greener Ludhiana

Ludhiana, July 14, 2026: In a significant step towards environmental conservation, Sakoon Trust, run by Dr. Parminder Singh Sidhu and Dr. Suruchi, organized a Plant Distribution Drive at the DC Office Complex, Bachat Bhawan, Ludhiana. The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain, who appreciated the initiative and encouraged citizens to actively contribute towards making Ludhiana greener and healthier.
More than 100 saplings were distributed among the public, government officials, and staff members with the message that every plant nurtured today will help build a sustainable tomorrow.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain lauded the efforts of Sakoon Trust and Sidhu Dental Hospital for taking up meaningful social initiatives. He appreciated the trust for combining environmental awareness with community service and said that such voluntary efforts inspire society to become active partners in protecting nature. He urged citizens to plant more trees, care for them, and work together to create a cleaner and greener Ludhiana for future generations.
The programme witnessed the active participation of Dr. Navjit, S. Nachhatter Singh, Charanjit Kaur, and the dedicated staff of Sidhu Dental Hospital, who enthusiastically supported the plantation campaign.
A special attraction of the event was the display of Sidhu Dental Hospital’s Mobile Dental Van, which provides free dental care and oral health services to the underprivileged and needy across Punjab. The Deputy Commissioner appreciated this unique initiative and commended the team for extending quality dental healthcare to remote and underserved communities through the mobile dental van.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Parminder Singh Sidhu said that good health begins with a healthy environment and that every tree planted today is an investment in the well-being of future generations.
Dr. Suruchi emphasized the importance of collective community participation in environmental conservation and appealed to everyone to plant trees and ensure their proper care.
