Safer Internet Day observed
An awareness workshop was organized by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) on the occasion of Safer Internet Day with the objective of promoting safe, responsible and informed use of the internet and Artificial Intelligence in Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, February 11, 2026: An awareness workshop was organized by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) on the occasion of Safer Internet Day with the objective of promoting safe, responsible and informed use of the internet and Artificial Intelligence in Ludhiana.
Around 50 to 60 participants from various offices, including the DC Office Ludhiana, District Education Office Ludhiana, Election Office Ludhiana, and the PAWAN Team Ludhiana, attended the event.
The District Informatics Officer of NIC Ludhiana Neeraj Garg, delivered a presentation on the safe use of the internet and how to avoid common online threats besides detailing about cyber security, safe internet practices and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence.
District Education Officer (Secondary) Dimple Madaan, ensured participation of all government schools through a Video Conference conducted by NIC Ludhiana.
During the lectures and VC sessions, government officials and students were sensitized about safer usage of the internet, cyber security threats and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence.
