Run for HER: Centre for Women Development, UILS kickstarts Women’s Week celebrations “Diva Dynamics 3.0” with inaugural run
The Centre for Women Development (CWD), University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), in collaboration with the Sports Committee, UILS, today organised the inaugural run titled “Diva Dynamics 3.0” at the UILS campus. The event marked the commencement of Diva Dynamics Week, a special series of activities celebrating International Women’s Day.

Chandigarh, March 5, 2026: The Centre for Women Development (CWD), University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), in collaboration with the Sports Committee, UILS, today organised the inaugural run titled “Diva Dynamics 3.0” at the UILS campus. The event marked the commencement of Diva Dynamics Week, a special series of activities celebrating International Women’s Day.
With the powerful slogan “Run for Strength. Run for Equality. Run for Her,” the run aimed to promote fitness, unity and gender equality while symbolically taking a collective step forward towards resilience and women’s leadership.
In the female category, Shivangi Shandil secured the first position, followed by Sanskriti Mohil in second place and Jhanvi Malhotra in third place. In the male category, Gurpratap secured the first position, with Krish and Inderjit bagging the second and third places, respectively.
The winners and participants alike were felicitated by Dr Sunny Sharma, Faculty In-charge, Sports Committee, and Prof. Anupam Bahri, recognising the achievements of the winners and the enthusiastic participation of the runners. As a thoughtful and sustainable gesture, all participants were also presented with seed saplings, symbolising growth, resilience and the nurturing of a greener and more empowered future.
The event was organised under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Shruti Bedi, Director, UILS; Prof. Anupam Bahri, Faculty Coordinator, CWD; and Dr Sunny Sharma, Faculty In-charge, Sports Committee, along with teacher coordinators Ms Priyanka Goyal and Ms Sugandha, and student coordinators Hunar (President, Sports Committee) and Ruhani (President, CWD).
The event heads for the inaugural run were Jhanvi and Inderjit, with the dedicated efforts of the core team consisting of Ruhani (President), Maan Kaur (Convenor), Harleen Chaudhary and Varsha Sharma (Co-convenors), and Lakshay Rajora and Jhanvi (Advisory Members).
