Rs.3 lakh assistance to next of Suraj who was killed in police custody in Gudiya case

Dharmshala, January 12, 2018: While replying to the discussion on the thanks motion on Governor address to HP assembly in Dharamshala, the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced on Friday, Rs.3 lakh as help to next of Suraj who was killed in the police custody in Gudiya case. He said that the trust of public on the police in the state has gone down in the previous governments rule, and this government shall rebuild this trust.
Thakur said that it was coincidence that despite Prem Kumar Dhumal declared as chief ministerial candidate he (Thakur) became the Chief Minister, “Similarly it is also coincidence that Cong has projected Virbhadra Singh as Chief Minister however Mukesh Aghnihotri become the Congress Legislative Party leader in the assembly .”
Replying to Congress allegation that RSS is controlling the vehicle of HP government and Thakur has only the searing in his hand, CM said, Congress itself is met with political accident as it had given gear of last Government to someone else and it resulted in a big incident of political debacle.” And that’s why the Congress is sitting in the opposition benches.

He said time has changed when people get impressed with popular public announcement and false promises, they want the results now. He said that only Rs.7 crore were spent by last Congress rule on 20,000 youth under employment allowance scheme however it had to provide Employment Avenue to as many as 12 lakh youth.
He said that providing employment to this large number is difficult but not impossible and new Government would ensure employment by self employment and by creations of jobs in public and private sector.
He said that all government projects would be expedited under new regime as 63 National Highways are sanctioned and Rs 1200-Cr AIIMS are being sanctioned by the Modi government to the state of Himachal Pradesh. 62 DPR are under consideration as the consultants have taken long time, and now would be completed soon. He said that State took three years to allot the land for AIIMS.
He said that there shall be no place for any kind of Mafia and Corruption in the state however to abolish it, his government shall require assistance and suggestions to members of opposition also.
Blaming the last Congress rule for opening large number of government institution He accepted that there are shortage of staff in Health, School and other institutions.
20 members participated in this discussion which lasted for 333 minutes spread over two days on the thanks motion of Governor address including nine member of ruling and ten members of Opposition and one of CPI(M).The House unanimously approved the motion of thanks to Governor address with voice address.
