Rs.18 lakh 525 cartons of liquor seized in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, April 20, 2014: Police have seized 525 cartons of country-made and Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from Tata 909 during a naka laid by police at T-Point (Moti Nagar) here.
According to Manjit Singh Dhesi, ADCP (Crime), Ludhiana the accused truck driver has been identified as Harpal Singh alias Laadi, resident of Chak Maidass (District Nawanshahr).
The seized liquor bottles were covered under a plastic sheet.  
The seized liquor is worth Rs. 18 lakh in the market.
The accused failed to show any permit / license to police.
Police are investigation further into the case.
