RS 2.67 CRORES WILL BE SPENT FOR DISPOSAL OF MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE AND DEVELOPMENT WORKS AT JALANDHAR: DR. INDERBIR SINGH NIJJAR

Chandigarh, December 19, 2022: Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is making all possible efforts to provide basic amenities, clean and pollution free environment to the people of the state. Under this series, development works are being carried out across State.
          Local Government Minister, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that taking a step forward in this direction, Punjab government has decided to spend approximately Rs 2.67 crores for disposal of Municipal Solid Waste and other development works at Jalandhar.
          Giving more details, in this regard, Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the department will be hired 6 tippers (10 tire vehicle Tipper-2516 and above) 2 JCB (3DX6 in one Model) for lifting municipal solid waste. These vehicles will be equipped with GPS System. The services of one driver and  one helper will also be taken for this purpose. Approximately Rs 2.50 crores will be spent for this work, he added.
          Apart from this, He said that Rs.17.02 lakh will be spent on repair and paint work in the western constituency at Jalandhar.
Cabinet Minister Dr. Nijjar said that the main objective of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is to provide basic facilities, clean and pollution free environment to the people of the state.
          He said that the local government department has started the office process for these works. In this regard, the department has already e-published the tender on the Punjab Government website www.eproc.gov.in. He also informed that if any amendment is made in these tenders then all its information will also be available on this website.
          Minister has directed the officials to make ensure transparency and quality in Department's works. He also asked the officials to work with sincerity and dedication so that the state can develop.
