Roller skating Championship tournament being organised by SPS Apollo Hospital Ludhiana in Association with District Roller Skating Association at Ludhiana on Monday.
Ludhiana, February 25, 2014: SPS Apollo Hospitals Ludhiana in Association with District Roller Skating Association (registered) Ludhiana on Monday organised a roller skating Championship at skating rink leisure valley Sarabha Nagar. In the championship more than 60 kids aging between, 6 to 12 year of age participated. Motive was to promote sports among the kids of the city so that by taking part in the sports they keep themselves fit. As now days, so many diseases among the children are growing, due the sedentary life style and less activity. SPS Apollo wants to encourage the sports among the youths and kids for their better health and better future.
Dr. Vikas Bansal Chief pediatrician and Dr. Gurpreet Singh Kochhar Neuro pediatrician of the SPS Apollo hospitals distribute the prize among the champions of the tournament. J S Dhaliwal General Secretary District Roller Skating association Ludhiana who is the coordinator of the tournament said that “this is the very good effort from SPS Apollo Ludhiana , we will try to make these type of tournaments in future also, presently we are having only two tournaments in the year District and state, with the help of SPS Apollo hospital one more tournament is added now, we are getting so many queries after the championship we expect more and more kids for the enrolments for the game”. More than 200 audiences including parents of the participants witness the championship.
Sukhvinder Singh Associate vice President of SPS Apollo hospital said that “this will be a regular annual feature and this annual tournament is a gift for kids of Ludhiana from SPS Apollo hospitals”.
