Role of architects is most important in smart city mission: CEO

Ludhiana: Pardeep Sabarwal, Chief Executive Officer of Ludhiana Smart City Limited and Commissioner of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation highlighted the role of architects in society including in ongoing smart city mission. 

He was speaking as Chief Guest in a seminar by Indian Institute of Architects Ludhiana Center (IIALC). In his detailed interaction he praised the role of IIALC and Punjab Chapter architects in development of cities including smart city mission, rejuvenation of Buddha Daria and many more projects. 

Ar Sanjay Goel, one of the directors of LSCL shared past activities of members of IIA in urban development/local government and smart city mission. Ar. Harinder Boparai, Chairman of IIALC presented vote of thanks to everyone attending the seminar.

Seminar topic was “Role of stainless steel in smart built environment” and was organized by International Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA). Detailed presentations were given by Rohit Kumar, Executive Director ISSDA and Sahil Garg Executive Director Purever.

Guest of Honours were Ar. Sanjay Goel, Director - LSCL and Ar. Harinder Boparai, Chairman IIALC. Meeting was also attended by Principal's from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College(GNCEC) and International Institute of Fashion Designing(INIFD).

Meeting was also attended by office bearers and executive members of IIALC including Yogesh Singla, Balbir Bagga, Rajan Tangri, Bimaldeep Singh, Niranjan Kumar, Vikas Sharma, Sumit Sharma, Nikhil Jindal, Baljeet Bawa, Usha Rani, Akanksha Sharma (HOD School of architecture ludhiana), Tonish Verma, Ankur Bhandari, Simanpreet Kaur, Aakriti Sharma,  Arjundeep Singh, Neeraj Sharma, Harji Singh, Harneet Kaur, Saurabh Seth, Rahat Singla and many more.

Ar Nidhi Raheja, Press secretary of IIALC said that ISSDA is the apex body of  stainless steel industry in India and is  front runner in sensitizing sustainable stainless steel based solutions across majority sectors. ISSDA with this seminar brought national and international stakeholders together and discussed various aspects of stainless steel applications for a sustainable, long lasting, and maintenance free public infrastructure.

Seminar was limited to gathering of less than hundred as per Government guidelines on covid. Chief Guest and Architects were very much satisfied to gain updated knowledge from experts of ISSDA.
