Rohtak's Newly Appointed SP, Gaurav Rajpurohit, Assumes Charge
IPS Gaurav Rajpurohit, the newly appointed Superintendent of Police (SP) for Rohtak district, assumed charge on Friday at the SP's office located within the Mini Secretariat complex. On this occasion, all gazetted officers extended a warm welcome to him.
Rohtak, April 3, 2026: IPS Gaurav Rajpurohit, the newly appointed Superintendent of Police (SP) for Rohtak district, assumed charge on Friday at the SP's office located within the Mini Secretariat complex. On this occasion, all gazetted officers extended a warm welcome to him.
A 2018-batch IPS officer, Gaurav Rajpurohit previously served as the DCP (East) in Gurugram prior to assuming his duties in Rohtak. Present at the event were Additional Superintendent of Police (Rohtak) Ayush Yadav, DSP (Headquarters) Ravi Khundia, DSP (City) Gulab Singh, DSP (CAW) Dalip, and other police officials.
Sharing his priorities, Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rajpurohit said that the primary mandate of the police is to maintain law and order, prevent crime, ensure the safety of women, and initiate legal action against criminals. He emphasized that no individual would be permitted to take the law into their own hands; anyone acting in contravention of the law would face the strictest possible legal action.
He affirmed that the Rohtak Police would make tireless efforts to curb crime and ensure the expeditious resolution of criminal incidents. Furthermore, appropriate measures would be taken to address issues related to traffic management, the illicit sale of narcotics, and illegal business activities. Efforts would also be directed toward effectively resolving public grievances. Public service and ensuring that the residents of Rohtak feel safe and secure will remain the foremost priorities of the Rohtak Police.
