Rohtak, October 12, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta announced the launch of the Innovative Education Transformation Program aimed at reimagining learning in Rohtak. The goal of this initiative is to develop schools that foster innovation, skill development, environmental responsibility, gender empowerment, teacher leadership, and community participation.
He said that through this program, government schools will be redesigned to align with modern learning approaches. A structured, mission-driven plan has been prepared to implement this initiative in phases. The plan aims to create safe and comfortable spaces where students can learn freely and fearlessly. Education Department teams, local industries, alumni, and the community will play key roles in implementing these initiatives. The district administration’s goal is to make Rohtak a model of 21st-century education.
Under the initiative, various focus areas have been defined. Explaining the Udaan component, DC Sachin Gupta said that Bal Vigyan Evam Navachar Clubs (Children’s Science and Innovation Clubs) will be established in schools from classes 6 to 12. These clubs will nurture scientific curiosity and problem-solving abilities by engaging students in low-cost science experiments, robotics, model making, and innovation through recycled materials. Each year, the Rohtak Young Innovators Fair will be organized to showcase student-led projects in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), including local innovations on water conservation, solar energy, and environmental technologies.
Similarly, Hunarshala Skill Labs will be set up in schools to develop practical and vocational skills. Students will learn basic coding, carpentry, electrical work, pottery, weaving, and science through art (like Rangoli-based learning). These labs will be developed in collaboration with local ITIs and industrial units, including exposure visits, demo classes, and skill internships.
DC Sachin Gupta said that these initiatives reflect the district’s vision to make Rohtak’s schools vibrant, skill-enriched, and future-ready. Education, he emphasized, should not remain confined to textbooks but should empower children to innovate, lead, and contribute to society.
