Rohtak gears up for seven-day Durga Puja celebrations from October 15
Preparations are underway for the seven-day Durga Puja festival in Rohtak, with the Bengali community set to organise celebrations from October 15 to 21 at the D-Park Community Hall, near Double Park. Organisers have invited residents and devotees to join the festivities.
Rohtak, October 11, 2026: Preparations are underway for the seven-day Durga Puja festival in Rohtak, with the Bengali community set to organise celebrations from October 15 to 21 at the D-Park Community Hall, near Double Park. Organisers have invited residents and devotees to join the festivities.
The celebrations will begin with a Maha Panchami Anand Mela on October 15, followed by Devi Bodhan, Aamantran and Adhibas rituals on Maha Shashthi on October 16. Maha Saptami will be observed on October 17, Maha Ashtami on October 18, Sandhi Puja on October 19 and Maha Navami on October 20. The festival will conclude with Maha Dashami on October 21.
Pushpanjali will be offered daily at 11 am. Sindoor Khela is scheduled for 11 am on Maha Dashami, followed by the immersion of the Durga idol from 2 pm.
The festival is expected to bring devotees together in a celebration of devotion, cultural traditions and community spirit.
