Rohtak District Administration resolves village issues on priority under “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” Night Halt Programme held at Lahli village
The Rohtak District Administration reiterated its commitment to priority-based and time-bound resolution of public grievances at the grassroots level under the “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” initiative. As part of this outreach, a Night Halt Programme was organised at Lahli village in Kalanaur block, where Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta interacted extensively with villagers, listened to their concerns, and issued on-the-spot directions to concerned departments for prompt redressal.
Rohtak, December 30, 2025: The Rohtak District Administration reiterated its commitment to priority-based and time-bound resolution of public grievances at the grassroots level under the “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” initiative. As part of this outreach, a Night Halt Programme was organised at Lahli village in Kalanaur block, where Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta interacted extensively with villagers, listened to their concerns, and issued on-the-spot directions to concerned departments for prompt redressal.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that ensuring access to basic amenities and accelerating village-level development remains a top priority of the District Administration. He emphasised that such night halt programmes enable senior officers to directly engage with citizens, understand ground realities, and ensure swift inter-departmental coordination for effective solutions.
Key decisions and assurances announced during the programme included; Administrative approval and assured construction of an additional water works to permanently address drinking water issues in the village, with a target for completion by the end of next year. Repair and up gradation of the cremation ground, Anganwadi centre and old school buildings. Development of a multi-sports playground, along with plans to establish a sports nursery and deploy a coach in the future to promote sports culture among youth. Initiatives to start Science and Commerce streams in the Government Senior Secondary School, as per prescribed norms, to enhance educational opportunities for local students. Distribution of assistive devices to eligible beneficiaries to support persons with disabilities and senior citizens.
To ensure last-mile delivery of services, various departments set up service delivery stalls at the venue, where villagers were provided information and benefits of government schemes on the spot. Health check-up camps were organised and free medicines were distributed, further reinforcing the administration’s citizen-centric approach.
The Deputy Commissioner noted that the Night Halt Programme is a core pillar of the Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore campaign, reflecting the District Administration’s resolve to take governance directly to villages, strengthen transparency, build public trust, and resolve issues on priority at the grassroots level.
Senior district officers, officials from various departments, representatives of the Gram Panchayat, and a large number of villagers attended the programme and participated actively in discussions.
