Rohtak Administration’s Demolition Drive in Villages Gandhra, Ismaila-9B and Kharawar against unauthorized constructions and illegal colonies
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that the district administration is continuously carrying out a demolition drive against unauthorized constructions and illegal colonies in the controlled and urban areas of Rohtak district. Under this campaign, a gym, two dhabas, a service garage, and an illegal colony being developed behind Mannat Haveli were demolished in villages Gandhra, Ismaila-9B, and Kharawar. During the action, a pakka road network and other illegal development spread over nearly one acre were also dismantled.
Rohtak, 7 January, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that the district administration is continuously carrying out a demolition drive against unauthorized constructions and illegal colonies in the controlled and urban areas of Rohtak district. Under this campaign, a gym, two dhabas, a service garage, and an illegal colony being developed behind Mannat Haveli were demolished in villages Gandhra, Ismaila-9B, and Kharawar. During the action, a pakka road network and other illegal development spread over nearly one acre were also dismantled.
The Deputy Commissioner asserted that illegal constructions or colonies will not be allowed to flourish in the district and that this campaign will continue without interruption. He appealed to citizens not to invest their hard-earned money in illegal constructions or unauthorized colonies. The district administration conducts demolition drives against such illegal developments at regular intervals.
During the demolition drive, officers and staff from the District Town Planner’s office were present. Adequate police force accompanied the demolition team to maintain law and order and to handle any untoward situation.
DTP Sumandeep also appealed to citizens not to invest their lifetime savings in illegal constructions or unauthorized colonies developed by dealers or landowners, as such departmental actions will continue to be taken by the administration from time to time.
