RGC secure first runners up trophy at inter-zonal youth and heritage festival

Ludhiana, December 21, 2021: The spectacular performances by the students made Ramgarhia Girls College the winner of First Runners Up trophy at the 62nd  Inter-Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival of Panjab University, Chandigarh. The festival was held at A.S. College, Khanna from December 14-18. This was indeed a historical moment because RGC grabbed this prestigious trophy for the first time.  RGC also bagged First Runners Up Trophy in the Youth and Heritage Festival in Zone B. 2500 students of various colleges of all zones participated in this festival. RGC participated in 19 competitions and the students performed brilliantly. They  won 4 first Prizes, 4 second prizes and 5 third prizes along with 3 individual prizes. The college won first prizes in Classical Dance, Peerhi Making, Guddiyan Patoley and in Quiz. Second prizes were achieved in Group Dance, Story Writing, Indian Orchestra and Folk Orchestra. Then third prizes were gained in Beautiful Handwriting in Hindi and Punjabi, Folk Instrument (percussion) and Ladies Traditional Song. Three individual prizes were also taken such as Neha got first in Group Dance, Taranjot Kaur first in Folk Orchestra and Tejinder Kaur second in Indian Orchestra. 
Ranjodh Singh, President Ramgarhia Educational Council welcomed this achievement and praised the efforts of his team for this stupendous achievement. He quoted Walt Disney,  a world renowned  American entrepreneur “To succeed, work hard, never give up and above all, cherish a magnificent obsession.”  
Officiating Principal DR. Rajeshwarpal Kaur congratulated the fraternity and the students and said that this whole experience was a refreshing one. The zeal of the students and the teachers was worth beholding. We were focusing on giving our best and this focus and hard work made us Overall First Runners Up. She wished best of luck to the students who would participate in Inter- University Youth Festival. She also applauded the efforts of Youth Festival organization conveners Prof. Jaspaul Kaur and Prof. Tajinder Kaur .S. Gurcharan Singh Lotey  also expressed his happiness and congratulated all the staff members and students . He said that these students have shown their potential and have shine the name of our college and their parents at such prestigious platform.
