Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian inaugurates multiple road infra projects worth Rs 494.03 lakh
Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Friday inaugurated a series of road development projects to enhance connectivity and infrastructure across Sahnewal constituency. Spanning a length of several kilometers with a total cost of Rs 494.03 lakhs, these projects underscore the state government’s commitment to improving transportation and fostering regional development.
Ludhiana, Oct 10, 2025: Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Friday inaugurated a series of road development projects to enhance connectivity and infrastructure across Sahnewal constituency. Spanning a length of several kilometers with a total cost of Rs 494.03 lakhs, these projects underscore the state government’s commitment to improving transportation and fostering regional development.
The projects include the construction and enhancement of several key roads including Kakka to Tajpur, covering 3.60 km at a cost of Rs 54.61 lakhs, Ludhiana Rahon Road to Khawajke, spanning 2.05 km for Rs 51.11 lakhs, Kakka to Khawajke covering 0.50 km at Rs 22.50 lakhs, Jagirpur to Tibba Road spanning 0.90 km for Rs 47.70 lakhs, Gautam Colony to Amarjeet Colony, covering 0.85 km at Rs 27.90 lakhs, Gautam Colony to Jagirpur up to Main Road spanning 0.37 km for Rs 14.43 lakhs, G.T Road to Noorwala Sujatwal, Dheri, covering 1.89 km at Rs 74.83 lakhs, Jamalpur Noorwala road to approach road Gurudwara Nanaksar, spanning 0.52 km for Rs 17.05 lakhs, Mangat to Gonsgarh, covering 2.10 km at Rs 41.19 lakhs, Gadapur to Sasrali, spanning 1.50 km for Rs 22.22 lakhs; Phirni village Mangli, covering 0.50 km at Rs 7.72 lakhs, Mangli Tanda to Jiwanpur, spanning 2.33 km for Rs 46.72 lakhs, Ludhiana Rahon Road to Mangli Khas, covering 1.00 km at Rs 16.95 lakhs; Ludhiana Rahon Road to Garhi Fazil, spanning 1.90 km for Rs 35.83 lakhs and Ludhiana Rahon Road to Garhi Sheru, covering 0.63 km at Rs 13.27 lakhs.
Speaking at the events, Minister Mundian highlighted the transformative impact of these projects, stating that these roads are not just pathways but will promote growth. The road projects incorporate modern construction techniques, including the use of 80mm and 60mm tiles in many projects, ensuring durability. These projects will benefit residents, businesses, and commuters by improving accessibility and reducing travel time across key routes in Ludhiana.
Mundian stated that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is dedicated to prioritizing infrastructure development, with a focus on sustainable and inclusive growth. These road projects mark a significant step toward achieving that vision.
