Reunion of (1981-83 Batch) at Department of Mathematics, Panjab University, Chandigarh

Chandigarh, January 23, 2023: Sunday, January 22, 2023 was an important day for the Department of Mathemat- ics, Panjab University, Chandigarh as several esteemed alumni (1981-83 Batch) reunited after 40 years. Ms. Suman Bala, Chairperson of Department of Math- ematics, along with Prof. Dinesh Khurana, Dr. Dilbag Singh, extended a warm welcome to the alumni and expressed their gratitude for visiting the department. The reunion was attended by Rajni Bhalla (Principal GCW Chandigarh), Prati- bha Saini (Associate Professor Govt College, Ropar), Litika Puri, Shashi Sharma (Principal), Neeru Gupta (MC Ropar), Ramesh Thakur (Retired Principal), Dr.T.N Saini (Joint Director Higher Education,  Haryana),  M.D. Sharma (Profes- sor Retired, KU), Luchmun Useree (Retired HOD Mathematics, Maurities, Social Worker), Parveen Kumar (PGT Maths, KVS), Satwinder Singh Bajwa (Retired DRO, Irrigation Dept.) and Rajesh Chadda (Management Consultant, Writer, Artist). Prof. SK Tomar (Vice-Chanceller, J.C Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, Haryana) also graced the event by his presence. The event took place in Room No.2, Ground floor where the alumni spent the pre- cious and memorable years of growing and learning. They shared their experiences and recalled the memories of old days. The Department of Mathematics is proud of the achievements of its alumni and looks forward to staying connected with them.
Overall, it was an enriching and nostalgic experience for all the attendees, as they reminisced about their time at the university and the impact it had on their lives.
