Resonance School, Vanasthalipuram Celebrates Independence Day & Investiture Ceremony, Graced by Chief Guest JD Lakshminarayana

Hyderabad, August 15, 2026: Resonance School, Vanasthalipuram, celebrated India’s Independence Day with patriotic fervour and pride, alongside its prestigious Investiture Ceremony, in the presence of JD Lakshminarayana as the Chief Guest. Purnachandra Rao Narra, Managing Director, Resonance Schools and Junior Colleges; SV Guru Raj, Principal, Resonance School; Sujatha, Academic Operations Head; Rajkumar, Research & Development Head; and Teachers, Staff, Students & Parents graced the occasion.
The celebrations brought together students, faculty members and the school leadership to commemorate the spirit of India’s Independence and reinforce the values of discipline, responsibility, leadership and service to the nation.
The programme commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by patriotic presentations and student performances that reflected the ideals of unity, freedom and national pride. The celebrations provided students with an opportunity to understand the significance of Independence Day and remember the sacrifices and contributions that shaped the nation.
A key highlight of the occasion was the Investiture Ceremony, during which the newly appointed members of the Student Council were formally entrusted with their roles and responsibilities. The young leaders took on their positions with a commitment to uphold the values of the school and lead their fellow students with integrity, teamwork, discipline and responsibility.
Addressing the students, JD Lakshminarayana emphasised the importance of developing discipline, leadership qualities and a strong sense of responsibility towards society and the nation. He encouraged students to make the best use of their education not only to achieve academic excellence but also to grow into confident, responsible and value-driven citizens who contribute meaningfully to the country.
JD Lakshminarayana, said, that the freedom we enjoy today is the result of the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters and that it is now our responsibility, especially as students, to build a stronger nation. He reminded students that classrooms can transform the nation and that patriotism is not limited to guarding the nation’s borders. Planting a sapling on your birthday, helping others with compassion, respecting farmers, soldiers and scientists, and making responsible choices are all meaningful expressions of patriotism. He urged students to seek freedom from mobile phones, bad friendships, junk food, bad habits, negative words, ego and hatred. He encouraged them to become curious, creative and innovative minds by constantly asking why, what and how. He also encouraged students to read about great personalities such as Subhas Chandra Bose, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Swami Vivekananda and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, and to note down one lesson or inspiring quote each day. Addressing parents, he suggested creating a library at home and consciously spending quality time with their children. He urged teachers to begin classes with inspiring stories and nurture curiosity, recognising the tremendous influence teachers have on young minds. Drawing from the spirit of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan, he called upon students to respect soldiers, farmers and scientists—and indeed, every contributor to the nation. Connecting with the name Resonance, he recalled how Vande Mataram once resonated across the nation and challenged the students to set three ambitious goals, one day return to Resonance as a Chief Guest, make your signatures become autographs, and make your parents proud. He concluded with the powerful message, This Independence Day should not be just another day. Let it be the day you make meaningful decisions, gain personal freedom, and begin your journey towards making the nation greater.
